Our Company

Established in 1912 as a research and development firm by MIT professor Daniel F. Comstock and W. Burton Wescott, Comstock & Wescott, Inc. was responsible for many well known innovations in the early part of the 20th century, most notably the invention of Technicolor in 1917.  The advent of Technicolor changed the budding U.S. film industry almost overnight.

Through the 1960s and 1970s C&W turned more and more of its attention to the perfect binding industry.  Since that time Comstock & Wescott has designed, manufactured and shipped thousands of hot melt glue applicators, premelters and cutting & roughing units, as well as tens of thousands of saws and roughers, around the world.
